Description

If after disabling all other detected programs the Kraken is still not responding in CAM, this could indicate an issue with the USB cable or the USB connection to the Motherboard. If you are using any kind of USB Expansion, Splitter, or Hub within the PC it is recommend to connect the Kraken directly to the Motherboard's internal USB 2.0 header to confirm if the issue is with the Kraken itself or due to this device between the Kraken and the Motherboard. Next come the fans, which in this instance is a pair of Aer P120 fans. These are 120mm by 26mm solutions, which range in speed from 500 to 2000 RPM, driving up to 73.11 CFM per fan! Static pressure is also relatively high at 2.93 mmH2O, and the noise levels are shown not to exceed 36 dBA. These fans spin on a fluid dynamic bearing, sipping power through the 4-pin PWM connections. The fans are said to last for 60,000 hours, which is nearly seven years of life, overextending the six-year warranty! As predicted, I didn’t see a ton of improvement in CPU temps with the X53 over the Wrath Prism. My system idles at around 35C now and maxes out at 73-75C. That averages out to about 3 degrees cooler, which isn’t amazing but is decent for a 240mm AIO. NZXT Kraken X53 Cooler Review | Bottom Line Keeps a 5800X cool as something cool but this is with an undervolt, once you figure out ur undervolt for ur 5800X it shouldnt peak 75C in the worst case, from my experience. The X-3 series refresh also marks a significant improvement with the RGB logo design. The infinite mirror logo on the X-2 series required you to mount the pump on your CPU in one direction only if you wanted it to be right-side up. With the X-3 series, the logo rotates so that you can mount the pump in four different orientations. This might not sound like a big deal, but depending on your motherboard layout, it can make the process of installation a lot easier. No more awkwardly trying to make sure your pump inlets don’t put pressure on your RAM or fighting the tubing to get the pump installed. NZXT Kraken X53 Cooler Review| Performance

The addition of the HUE 2 outgoing lead is the next evolution. We loved the rotatable top, as there have been instances where we have dealt with inverted logos and the like. Installation is simple, and once you have all the connections made, CAM does offer quite a bit to play with, in the RGB lighting department, and you will need it to control the speed of the pump.

NZXT Kraken X53

The Kraken X53 features a 240mm radiator cooled by two Aer P 120mm fans and is excellent for small-to-mid-sized cases. It doesn’t entirely give the cooling performance of its bigger brothers, the X63 (280mm) and X73 (360mm), but it allows for a lot more versatility when it comes to installation. Instead of being relegated to only a top mount, the X53 easily installs into the front (and even rear) of many popular PC cases. We applaud NZXT for their drive to get better and for their outlook into ways to distinguish their Kraken series from all of the various competitors! We can see where there are times the RGB environments do not play well with each other, and companies certainly benefit from creating an exclusive environment to control it. It makes sense. We have no issues with any of this, and it is the way it works in the real-world.

Equipped with two 120 mm fans, the Kraken X53 RGB assists in achieving efficient cooling. The fan speeds can be varied between 500 RPM to 1500 RPM, allowing for customizable cooling performance based on individual needs. The airflow capacity of the fans ranges from a minimum of 17.48 cubic feet per minute (cfm) to a maximum of 52.44 cfm, providing substantial cooling power. The tubing that connects the head unit to the radiator is comprised of a pair of 400mm long hoses. The tubing is an ultra-low evaporation rubber, and from end to end, are covered in nylon braided sleeving. Additional notes to consider: All testing was done with the pump set to fixed mode at 100% resulting in a reported speed of 2777 RPM. Also, relying on my motherboard to do precisely what NZXT intended the fans to do may not coexist. Although, our last test put any of that to rest. Final Thoughts Once the search completes, you should get a list of all detected software accessing USB devices including NZXT CAM. Take note all of these programs and try disabling them from starting with the Windows software. You can do this either from the options settings within the individual programs or by using the Startup section of the Task Manager in Windows. For Kraken X53, X63, and X73 coolers or the Kraken Z series, please connect a Micro USB (Micro-B) to USB Type-A cable from the USB port on the Kraken to any open USB Type-A port on your PC. Popular Now: Windows 11 can now open RAR, 7-Zip, and other compressed files natively... but there's a catch

In my opinion, this is one instance where they needed fewer hands-on this design, or maybe they needed just one more to point out the obvious. We find there are just too many problems and a couple of them compound as you try to find a solution to what should work out of the box, and it seems the Kraken X53 cannot do what everyone else, including their previous solutions, did and still do! Sometimes change for the sake of change is not the way to go! The Kraken X-3 and Z-3 series are available now for the US only (everywhere else in early February). Pricing is as follows: I installed the AIO into my venerable Corsair Vengeance C70 case which features the following cooling setup:With these programs disabled from startup, restart your PC and confirm if the issue is still occurring or if the issue has been resolved. If you are able to control your Kraken's RGB again, try re-enabling each disabled program one at a time, restarting between each program being added until you find the offending program. My Kraken RGB is still not responding in NZXT CAM The NZXT Kraken X53 RGB is a computer cooling component that aids in maintaining optimal temperatures for CPU performance. It features a pump motor with adjustable speeds ranging from a minimum of 800 RPM to a maximum of 2800 RPM. With a pump voltage of 12 V and a pump current of 300 mA, it effectively circulates coolant throughout the system to dissipate heat. A 10% bigger LED ring allows for more vivid RGB. A rotatable top accommodates re-orienting the logo no matter the direction the cooler is installed. Better Control
