“Happy to Help” Volunteers

Our club is looking for volunteer supporters to provide a welcoming focal point for all fans visiting Sixways on Matchdays. The intent is to create a pool of supporters who can provide match day assistance by answering all the questions and queries that visiting fans ask – “Where is the East Stand?” ” Where can I collect my tickets?” Where is the nearest bar?” Where are the toilets?” “Am I allowed on the pitch after the game?”

The role is voluntary but we are working together to devise a loyalty card that will accrue rewards the more times you volunteer. This could be vouchers for use in the shop, match tickets, food and drink discounts, discounted season ticket………more to follow.

The club are keen to trail this on Sunday 3 February 2019 and they are looking for 4 volunteers. You will need to be able to attend a briefing at 12:30pm, ready to be in place as the gates open at 1pm and finish 10mins before KO to allow you time to take you seats.

If you are interested please PM on FACEBOOK or TWITTER.

Ospreys v Worcester Warriors

Saturday 12th Jan saw a full coach of Warriors supporters take the trip down to Swansea’s Liberty Stadium for the 5th round of the European Challenge Cup.

All settled down for the trip to Swansea

After the journey some of the travelling support took Ospreys Supporters Club up on their invitation to their supporters club bar, The Riverside.

One of the joys of being a rugby fan is meeting up with opposition support over a beer or two.

WRSC Chairman, Bob Low presented OSC with a commemorative tankard, a pennant and a pot of Worcester Warriors chutney.

The following photos are of the OSC bar, The Riverside, showing some ideas WRSC are looking to emulate in the Inn At The Side.

Ospreys Supporters Club presentation

The European Challenge Cup game against the Ospreys was an opportunity for both sets of supporters to get together and enjoy some banter and beer in the Inn At The Side.

Plenty of good natured chat was had before and after the game. David Thomas, the WRSC Vice Chairman, was presented with a plaque from The Chairman of  Ospreys Supporters Club, Nigel Jones.

WRSC Honorary President Jonny Arr popped in for a chat and was on hand at the presentation.

Lovely Evening Cruise

16th August saw the evening river cruise event with Chris Pennell to celebrate his Testimonial Year.

Andrew Easton from BBC H&W did a consummate job as interviewer on the round trip to The Camp Inn at Grimley. He went through Chris’s career from his very first start for the Warriors at 17 in the “A” league v Gloucester to the present day and so much in between.

The weather played ball and those few that were able to secure tickets enjoyed the lovely views along the Severn augmented by some honest and detailed conversation with Chris.

At The Camp Inn the party were joined by Warriors captain GJ Van Velze and Welsh wizard wing Josh Adams.

All the proceeds from the evening will go to the Charities supported by Chris’s Testimonial. More details Here

Here are a few photos as a taste of the evening.
